Inception trailer

What is this?

I saw this trailer before Inglourious Basterds and I didn't know what exactly I was watching. A drama? Suspense film? Action? It's rare that a trailer leaves me scratching my head. Which is a great thing in my book.

I notice Inception is directed by one of my favorite directors, Christopher Nolan and stars the talented and affable Leonardo DiCaprio.

Inception is tentatively scheduled for release July 16, 2010.

Avatar Trailer

Here's the trailer to perhaps the most anticipated movie of the year, James Cameron's Avatar. The movie is considered a ground breaking spectacle. Reportedly, people who've seen footage have been left speechless by the special effects. Some people have even hailed it as having the most mind blowing 3D presentation ever put on film. The buzz was so great that Cameron and the studio took the unprecedented step of showing a 17 minute preview of the film.

I think it looks pretty impressive. But I can't wait to see it the way it's supposed to be presented in big screen 3D.

Avatar is scheduled for release December 17, 2009.

The Wolfman Trailer

It seems like forever ago that I first heard about The Wolfman film starring Benicio Del Toro. Director Mark Romanek was originally supposed to direct but he left the project due to creative differences. The film is now directed by Joe Johnston of Jumanji and Jurassic Park 3 fame.

I dig the gothic feel of the film and definitely the Rick Baker make-up and special effects. Anthony Hopkins in creepy mode is always cool too. The film also features Emily Blunt and Hugo Weaving.

The Wolfman is scheduled for release February 12, 2010.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Trailer

Here's the international trailer for the Terry Gilliam film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The film marks the final performance by Heath Ledger. Actors Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law also played the same role in order to complete the film and round out the arc of Ledger's character.

The film looks amazing and I love the participation of Tom Waits and Christopher Plummer.

The film is tentatively scheduled for limited release on December 25, 2009.
